Orlando Bloom  and Miranda Kerr may have just confirmed their split after three years of marriage, but the former lovebirds seem determined to put family first.

Pictured together for the first time since the announcement, Orlando and Miranda looked to be in high spirits as they enjoyed a day out with little Flynn. The British actor, who is said to have stayed over at Miranda's New York home, enjoyed a casual stroll with his family the following morning. The trio headed to a restaurant on the Upper East Side, as Flynn tucked into an ice lolly on the way.

Orlando and Miranda, who were spotted without their wedding rings, proved they were still on good terms as the former Victoria's Secret angel walked arm in arm with her ex.

The pair took it in turns to carry cute Flynn, who looked on-trend in his skinny jeans and blue puffer jacket.

Miranda, who smiled and chatted to Orlando as they walked, looked chic as ever in a black top, dark skinny jeans and a grey, tailored coat. The Australian-born supermodel completed her outfit with matching black pumps and oversized sunglasses.

Despite announcing their split earlier this week, Orlando has insisted that the couple will always love and respect each other. "We're not friends, we're family," the Hollywood star told TMZ. "Life is a mystery, it doesn't always work out the way you want it. "A representative for Orlando confirmed the news earlier this week. "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," the spokesperson said. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalise their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
