The tiara Victoria Beckham wore when she married David Beckham in 1999 has gone up for auction.The gold and diamond coronet, which was created especially for the then Spice Girl by Irish-born jewellery designer Slim Barrett, has been given a pre-auction value of £18-£25,000 by British auctioneer Bonhams.
"A gold and diamond 'East of Paris' regal coronet, worn by Victoria Beckham on her wedding day," reads Bonham's description of the item, which will be sold next month. "The lattice circlet with four openwork lozenges of irregular outline, each with pavé-set brilliant-cut diamond detail and suspending brilliant and baguette-cut diamond drops. "Interspersed with four smaller diverse motifs, each with central brilliant-cut diamond bombé section, mounted in 18 carat yellow gold with integral hair comb fitting at base. "Since wearing it on her big day, Victoria's coronet has been showcased at the Victoria & Albert Museum and at The Diamond Museum in Antwerp.
David and Victoria six months after they marriedDavid and Victoria, famously dubbed 'Posh and Becks', married on 4 July 1999, after dating for two years.
The couple, who met at a charity football match, were engaged after a year together and tied the knot at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland.
At the lavish ceremony the duo's 4-month-old son Brooklyn took the role of ring bearer while David's Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville was the best man.
