David and Victoria Beckham are starting a new chapter in 2014. After spending a final family Christmas at Beckingham Palace, the couple and their children will reportedly move into their new home – a £50 million townhouse property in central London.Since returning to the UK from LA nearly a year ago, the family have been renting a house in the British capital, but it’s now understood that they’ve decided to put down roots in an exclusive west London neighbourhood after leaving their Hertfordshire mansion behind.
Their new home is said to boast seven bedrooms – plenty of room for Brooklyn, 14, 11-year-old Romeo, Cruz, eight and two-year-old Harper – as well as a pool, cinema, library and panic room.
Victoria has apparently enlisted the help of her friend Kelly Hoppen to do the interiors of the new home. The designer, who was joined at her book launch by the former Spice girl last week, redecorated the couple’s house in Beverly Hills when David first moved to LA Galaxy nearly seven years ago.
Before they make the move, the family will have a holiday in LA. "The Hertfordshire estate has now sold, so they are excited about one last big family Christmas in Beckingham Palace before they jet off for a relaxing new year in Los Angeles," a source close to the Beckhams told HELLO! "Everything is in a really good place right now."
According to friends, Victoria is relishing being in London, and feels she has really found her place in the capital.
"She seems more relaxed than she has been for a long time and is beginning to appreciate that she has the best of all worlds," confirms HELLO!'s source.
