It was an evening that David Beckham will no doubt treasure for many years. With his proud wife and sons by his side, the sports star attended Sunday's world premiere of The Class of '92 - a British documentary charting the rise of six young Manchester United players: David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes.
The 38-year-old is now considered to be one of the country's greatest sports ambassadors, and a great cheer went up as he hit the red carpet in London's Leicester Square.
David looked dapper in a suit and tie as he posed with his family. His three sons, Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, and Cruz, eight, were also suited and booted for the event, and wearing matching red World Aids Day crosses.
Fashion designer Victoria, 39, braved the winter chill in a LBD, that showed off her tanned legs, and a tailored black wool coat. She wore her hair swept to one side and completed her look with stiletto heels and smokey eye make-up.
The former Spice Girl also has a lot to thank Manchester United for; she first met David at a football match in 1997 and in the 16 years since, the pair have become one of the world's most high-profile celebrity couples.
The Beckhams were joined at the premiere by David's former team mates and their respective wives and families.
Speaking at the event, the father-of-four explained why he valued the support of his fellow players during his career.
I think that is part of history," David said. "It's the same for all of us six. There were good times, there were bad times, there were troubled times where we all stuck together.
"But that is part of the movie, part of the history of the six of us. That is why it makes this such a great story."
While he might have looked at ease on the red carpet, David said that he didn't expect to start a new career as a film star.
"I'm not very good at acting, so maybe it wouldn't be a very good idea to go into that kind of industry," he admitted.
"But I enjoyed doing this. It's obviously something that I know, something that is part of our teenage years (and) very special."
Among those showing their support for the six footballers were One Direction stars Harry Styles and Liam Payne. Harry was seen rushing over to chat to David, who he described as "everyone's idol".Asked about reports that David could receive a knighthood in the New Year Honours List, the musician replied, "Why not? He's a national treasure isn't he? It makes sense. I though he was already!"
