Khloé Kardashian files for divorce from Lamar Odom after four years of marriage

Khloé Kardashian has filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Lamar Odom.Ending months of speculation, Khloé, 29, chose to call time on her marriage to Lamar, 34, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split when she filed for divorce at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday.Hours after the news emerged, Khloé was seen arriving at Beverly Hills gym to meet with her personal trainer. Dressed in black workout clothes and orange trainers, Khloé's left hand was notably missing her wedding ring, which she has not been seen wearing since November.

Showing support for his sister, Rob Kardashian posted a loving message on Twitter. "Love You more than Life @khloekardashian!" wrote Rob, along with a picture of the siblings hugging.Earlier on Friday TMZ claimed that the reality star was imminently about to file the paperwork to end her marriage to the NBA star.The couple, who have been married since September 2009, have been estranged for several months, largely due to Lamar's alleged drug use.On Thursday 12 December, hours before rumours of her divorce plans surfaced, Khloé posted a revealing quote on Instagram. "I am strong because I have been weak. I am fearless because I have been afraid. I am wise because I have been foolish."

Khloé's divorce filing comes days after Lamar pleaded no contest on Monday to a misdemeanour DUI charge.

The basketball player was arrested last August after his Mercedes-Benz was seen driving erratically on an LA freeway.

The 6ft 10in sportsman has been out of the NBA since going unsigned as a free agent following a disappointing season last year.
