The X Factor's Sharon Osbourne and her rock legend husband Ozzy invite HELLO! into their Buckinghamshire mansion this week, as they prepare to celebrate their first family Christmas there in six years.
Sharon tells how she's looking forward to "locking the doors and lighting the fires" after a hectic few months that saw her commute weekly between her job as a judge on The X Factor and LA, where she's a panelist on US chat show The Talk.
Confirming that this series of The X Factor was her last, Sharon says of her winner Sam Bailey, "I couldn't have wished for a better contestant to end my X Factor journey with than Sam. It has been the most incredible life-changing experience for her, which is what the X Factor is really about."
She and Ozzy also reflect on a turbulent year, which saw their 31-year marriage hit the rocks as Ozzy suffered a relapse with his addiction to alcohol and reliance on prescription drugs.
"It's been one hell of a year again," Ozzy tells the magazine. "I look back and think, 'Thank God, we made it.'"
Describing his addiction to drink as "cunning, powerful and baffling" he says that being an alcoholic is "like having a headful of other people.
"It's like playing truth or dare with yourself and it always ends up in a bad place, always."
Sharon, 61, reveals that she sought comfort in her son, Jack, 28, who faced his own issues with alcohol and drugs in his teens, and tells how she and Ozzy attended couple’s counselling in a bid to get their marriage back on track.
"It was something we'd never tried before," Sharon says of the counselling sessions. "But actually, it just made Ozzy angry. We gave it a go, but it wasn't for us. What we've done we've done together and with the help of our family.
"But the best thing is, this Christmas Ozzy will be ten months sober, which is fantastic. "See the full exclusive interview in HELLO! magazine, out now.
