Orlando Bloom has opened up about love two months after his split from Miranda Kerr.
It seems that The Lord of the Rings actor hasn't written off romance in the future.
"I'm completely in love with the idea of love. Maybe I'm all misty about it because I'm playing Romeo," he said referring to his recent stint in a production of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway.
"But I really believe in, you know, that sort of heart-to-heart connection," he told ELLE magazine.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his Australian Victoria's Secret model wife split just shy of three and a half years of marriage.
Earlier this month the British film star spoke of his family's unbreakable bond.
"We're a family and we'll always love each other and we're going to be in each other's lives," the 36-year-old said.
It wasn't the first time the Hollywood star has clarified the importance of the family unit.
"We're not friends, we're family," the Hollywood star told TMZ. "Life is a mystery, it doesn't always work out the way you want it."
The former couple have been spotted together with their adorable son Flynn since they broke off their marriage.
A representative for Orlando confirmed the news in October. "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," the spokesperson said.
"After six years together , they have recently decided to formalise their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."
