Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes decide to 'take a break'

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are spending time apart to "re-evaluate their relationship", it has been reported.

The Hollywood couple have been dating for more than two years, but recently there has been speculation that their romance is on the rocks. Now they have decided to take a break to see if they have a future together.

"There was a realisation before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing towards a marriage that neither of them particularly needed," a source told RadarOnline.

"They've decided to take a break to re-evaluate their romance.

"The insider insists that Eva, 39, and Ryan, 33, haven't officially split, but they are seriously considering whether or not they can make their relationship work.

While it was previously reported that the couple were experiencing problems because Ryan was eager to settle down, it is now being suggested that Eva was the one who was keen to take the next step.

"The real question is how Eva is going to figure into Ryan's plans," the source added. "Eva wanted to have his babies."
