It’s just five weeks until the McBusted tour kicks off in Glasgow and the boys have been preparing by posting jokey pictures of their muscles during tour rehearsals.Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, Dougie Poyntor and Danny Jones of McFly, along with James Bourne and Matt Willis of Busted, announced the long-awaited collaboration last year and performed for the first time on Children In Need in November. The two individual boy bands have been friends for years, even touring together in the early 2000s.
Tom - who is expecting his first baby with Giovanni Fletcher - was kicked out of Busted just before they hit the charts in 2002 and joked during the announcement that it had been the longest audition process ever to get into Busted, adding: "I was nearly in Busted, which I am now. It's taken me ten years.”Now the six piece are having fun on tour rehearsals and performing for only the second time on last week’s Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV.

The supergroup even took on a Sports Relief challenge last month, competing in a cycle challenge where they each rode different bicycles ranging from the 1800s to the 1990s and dressing up in costume from each era. They aimed to encourage more people to get involved with the charity through cycling, running or swimming. The group’s tour will focus on well-known hits by both bands, including Year 3000 and It’s All About You.
