Family and friends danced the night away to rock songs as Johnny Depp and Amber Heard celebrated their engagement at an intimate party in downtown LA.
The betrothed couple hired Carondelet House – a red brick, Italian-style private villa opened in 1928 – and were joined by close friends and a handful of celebrities.
Those at the bash included shock rocker Marilyn Manson, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer, musician Ryan Adams and his actress wife Mandy Moore, and producer Rick Rubin.
Amber's sister Whitney also attended, as did Johnny's mum Betty Sue Palmer and the actor's 11-year-old son Jack.
Johnny, 50, looked dapper in a black suit and fedora hat of the same shade while Amber wore a white silk camisole top and navy blue skirt.The Rum Diary co-stars arrived an hour after the rest of their guests. Once inside they had a bite to eat and danced to iconic rock tunes.The playlist is said to have featured retro classics from the 60s to the 80s including Wild Thing by The Troggs, Tutti Fruti by Little Richard, Jailhouse Rock by Elvis, and These Boots Are Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra.
Steven Tyler said as he left the party: "I love that he's in love... we were all dancing and it was beautiful... Johnny's mum is the most beautiful woman. "Johnny and his 27-year-old love are reportedly set to get married in a small ceremony on the Hollywood star's private island in the Bahamas. The pair first met in 2011 when they starred together in The Rum Diaries. It wasn't until the beginning of 2012 that they were linked romantically after the breakdown of Johnny’s 14-year relationship with Vanessa Paradis, who is Jack's mum and also the mother of Johnny's 14-year-old daughter Lily Rose.
