Jennifer Aniston on surviving in the spotlight: 'tune out the noise'

March 25, 2014

Jennifer Aniston has opened up about living in the spotlight, and revealed that her tip to surviving in the industry would be to "tune out the noise" from critics.

The Hollywood actress, whose career spans nearly 25 years, has spent nearly half her life in the public eye.

"You just have to work really hard to tune out the noise and the static," Jennifer told Associated Press. "Because it gets louder, and people really have an opinion.

"You don't want to shy away from taking chances for fear of what people will say, or living in the wreckage of the future (of) what may be if I do this."

Jennifer first found fame playing Rachel Green on Friends in 1994 and since then, the Los Angeles-born beauty has taken on roles in various films including We're The Millers and Horrible Bosses.

"I just want to keep trying to surprise myself and I want to keep challenging myself and have the courage to really do that, in spite of possible failure," she added.

While Jennifer is currently producing and starring in the imminent drama Cake, which has seen her go behind the camera, the blonde beauty is usually in the headlines for her latest wedding plans to actor fiancé Justin Theroux.

The rumour mill has been spinning with speculation that the couple's nuptials have been put on hold, while other sources have reported that they're tighter than ever.

"It's on a level that I don't even understand," Jennifer said of the hype around her wedding. "It's weird. I think because we are so normal. We're very non-fabulous in any way. "They try to create all sorts of narratives to go with a very normal, wonderful life that's just two people loving each other and living life and working and doing the best they can."
