Simon Cowell has shot down rumours that have linked Rihanna to the latest series of the X Factor.
"It would have been nice but I don’t think she’d be available because of her commitments this year", the X Factor judge said.

"I know her quite well but I never spoke to her", he confirmed.
Simon and Cheryl Cole both revealed their return to the hit ITV show earlier in 2014.
It has been reported a deal worth £1.5million allowed for Cheryl’s return to the show which she left in 2011.
Speaking to The Hits Radio at the premiere for the new musical I Can’t Sing which is based on the reality show, Simon also added that bringing Cheryl Cole back to the music show was a great idea.
"I’ve always believed with Cheryl, y’know, when something works there’s nothing wrong with going back”, he said, before adding: “It’s a good recipe."
Simon created The X Factor in 2004 and has also gone on to judge Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and American Idol.
Sitting with Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson for the first seven seasons of American Idol, which was hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Simon recently hinted that he would love to get back on television with his former judges.
"One day Paula Randy Me and Ryan will reunite. I know it will happen. It was a special time", Simon emotionally tweeted after the premiere of I Can’t Sing.
The music mogul attended the event with his partner Lauren Silverman who gave birth to his first child, a son called Eric, in February.
The new parents shared a tender moment as they stepped into the spotlight at the opening night of I Can't Sing.
Lauren, 36, looked sensational in a fitted black dress, and Simon clearly agreed as he kept the American socialite close by his side all evening as they mingled at the star-studded event.
