Vanessa Feltz goes over to the dark side with dramatic new look

Vanessa Feltz surprised celebrity watchers at the Jersey Boys gala performance on Thursday night as she showed off a dramatic new look.It seems that Vanessa, who currently presents an early morning radio show on BBC Radio 2 and is known for her long blonde locks, has decided to update her image and take a risk with a different hair colour for the first time in her life.

Accompanied by her long-term partner Ben Ofoedu, Vanessa donned a short sequinned dress which drew attention to her dark tresses.

The 52-year-old's change comes as a shock as in an interview with The Guardian in 2011, the star revealed that she had "always had long hair" and has been dying it blonde "ever since I could afford the peroxide".

Other stars, including Jo Wood, Gok Wan and Arlene Phillips, turned out to watch the Gala Night performance of Jersey Boys, celebrating a new venue at the Piccadilly Theatre, a new cast, and the show's 6th birthday in the West End.

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge, Arlene, seemed to have a fantastic night as she tweeted the next day: "a touch sleepy this morning after screaming and dancing at the brilliant @JerseyBoysUK last night. Great party and full on gossip.

"She later added: "FABULOUS night @JerseyBoysUK ! Well done @samueldburgess BRILLIANT cast and sound.

"Gok Wan also seemed to enjoy the show. "Just home from @JerseyBoysUK What a fun evening. Great music and great singing... Even teared up at one point. Thoroughly recommend it! X"
