While her father Tom Cruise was busy collecting a statuette at the Empire Film Awards, Suri Cruise was spending time with her mother Katie Holmes at a basketball game. The little girl – who turns eight this month – was seen looking excited at the events taking place on screen as they enjoyed the sport on Sunday. The pair attended the East Regional Final of the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament between the Connecticut Huskies and the Michigan State Spartans at Madison Square Garden 2014 in New York City.
Both girls donned pink outfits with Katie in a sleeveless denim jacket and Suri a light jumper. The 35-year-old actress wore her brunette locks in a casual scruffy bun and her mini-me looked relaxed in a ponytail hairstyle.
From the looks on their faces at one point they appeared to be getting quite anxious about what was taking place on court as Katie became wide-eyed and Suri pointed upwards. Biting their lips and holding their hands over their mouths, the mother-daughter duo were clearly having a whale of a time.
The former Dawson’s Creek star recently ended her fashion venture with designer Jeanne Yang, which began in 2008, to concentrate on motherhood. She is now working on the pilot for Dangerous Liaisons for the ABC network.

I have a rich life because of the incredible people I've worked with. There are too many people to thank. We would be here for hours, maybe days."
