Tess Daly is an English model and television presenter. Scouted in a McDonalds at the age of 18, her first modelling jobs took her all over the world including Tokyo, Paris and New York.
Whilst living in New York, a friend suggested she interview celebrities on the red carpet, and it was from here that her television career took off.
She was asked by Channel 4 to host their new programme Find Me A Model, and from there Tess has presented shows as diverse as Get Your Kit Off, Singled Out and SM:TV Live with Ant and Dec.
In 2004 Tess joined the BBC to host their new Saturday night entertainment show Strictly Come Dancing with entertainment veteran Sir Bruce Forsyth.Over the years she has also taken time to host the National Lottery and the annual charity fundraiser Children In Need.
In 2003, Tess married Vernon Kay, a fellow television personality. They have two daughters, a nine-year-old and a 4-year-old.
