It was their third red carpet in as many weeks, but Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones's affection for one another couldn't be stopped. Holding hands as they arrived and continuing to hold hands as they posed for pictures, the reunited couple looked happy and in love at the 41st Annual Chaplin Awards on Monday night.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones Wearing a monochrome print knee-length dress, Catherine paired the outfit with open-toed black heels and glossy hair swept to one side. The pair announced their split in August 2013, although it was thought that they had been separated for many months before. They were reported to have reconciled in November 2013, as Catherine moved back in to the family home, before they rang in the New Year together on a family ski trip. Speaking to HELLO! Magazine in March, Michael's mother Diana Dill confirmed the reconciliation, and said: "They are together. I knew they would work it out."

The split was thought to be due to a turbulent few years. Behind The Candelabra, star Michael was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010 while Welsh actress Catherine has suffered with bipolar II disorder for some time.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones Their marriage appeared to be firmly back on track as Michael and Catherine attended the opening night of drama play The Library at The Public Theater in April, before later continuing their return to the spotlight by supporting their friend Meryl Streep as she received the Monte Cristo award in recognition of her stellar career, at a ceremony in New York. The Annual Chaplin Awards are the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s major fundraising event, helping to support the ongoing work in education, artist development, and cross-cultural film outreach.
