Matt Willis

Matt Willis found fame in the early 2000s as a member of pop rock trio Busted. The group appeared on the cover of Smash Hits! Magazine, making them the first band to ever do so before their debut single had been released.

Busted would go on to sell over 4 million records worldwide and released four albums before splitting in 2005 due to creative differences.

After several difficult years in which Matt entered rehab for drink and drug addictions and attempted a solo career, Matt appeared on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here and went on to win the series.

He later reinvented himself as a theatre actor, appearing in the West End smash Wicked, before in 2013 reuniting with James Bourne of Busted for a McFly tenth anniversary concert.

The success of the reunion and the two performances they made with McFly led to the creation of supergroup McBusted, and in 2014 McBusted – made up on Matt, James, and the four boys from McFly – went on a national UK sold out tour to great success.

In 2008 Matt married his long-term girlfriend, television presenter Emma Griffiths.

The pair now have two young children, and Matt recently made his debut on BBC’s soap Eastenders.
