Miranda Kerr and her family appeared to have put any issues behind them as they reunited for Mother's Day on Sunday. The 31-year-old model had touched down in Sydney the day before and was greeted by her three-year-old son Flynn, her mother Therese and other relatives.

The emotional reunion came after the Sydney-born beauty was said to have drifted away from her parents, as she had not seen them for over a year.

Members of the model's family made a public plea for her to get in touch on Australian TV earlier this year, stating that Hollywood was to blame for the emotional distance between them.

All that seemed to be in the past, however, as Miranda posted touching images of her Mothering Sunday celebrations with her nearest and dearest on her Instagram page. "Such a special day with my family. Happy Mother's Day to all xxx," she captioned a photo of four generations of her kin. In the sweet snap, Miranda's focus is firmly on Flynn – whom she kisses – as she poses next to her mother and behind her grandmother. The brunette star, who gifted her mother a pendant necklace on the day, delighted her 3.9million followers with another photo from the day. "Sweet treat for Mother's Day," she wrote alongside a snap of a berry and Passion fruit dessert.

Later that evening, Miranda gave an interview to Nova FM radio show in which she praised the inspirational ladies in her family. "I'm so proud of my mother," she said. "And nan, she should really put out a cookbook because she taught me how to cook. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful women." Miranda also spoke about the joys of being a mum to little Flynn. "I just feel like being a mother, it brings so much joy to my heart," she said. "It's my favourite thing, just being with him and spending time with him." The Australian beauty is still on good terms with Flynn's daddy Orlando Bloom, from whom she announced her separation last October after three years of marriage. The proud mum revealed that the pair couldn't be happier as they continue to co-parent Flynn. "He is a great dad and I feel really lucky to have him in my life," said Miranda. "I think it's really important to have two happy parents and he is really happy and I am happy."
