He later took to the stage to perform a heartfelt rendition of his new single, Get Her Back, which he wrote for Paula.Mid-song, he pleaded with the crowd: " Alright, y'all, help me get her back " as he sang the track, with lyrics including: "All I wanna do is make it right/ I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life." I should've kissed you longer / I should've held you stronger / And I'll wait for forever for you."

Robin and Paula met when he was 14 and she was 15, and married in 2005. They are parents to son Julian, four. In February, the couple announced their split in a joint statement. "We will always love each other and be best friends," they said. "However, we have mutually decided to separate at this time. "Rumours first swirled that their marriage was in trouble in August following Robin's controversial Blurred Lines performance with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs. Reports followed that the singer had been unfaithful during a party that same month.

With the spotlight firmly on their relationship, the couple put on a united front. During a joint interview with Prestige Hong Kong Magazine  in September, Paula said she and her husband were "best friends"." I've been there for his down moments, and he's been there for mine," she said. "Life is full of peaks and valleys. Robin has always been a great person to remind me to celebrate now."
