The Billboard Music Awards brought together some of the biggest names in the industry for a glitzy ceremony in Las Vegas. HELLO! Online rounds-up some of the biggest moments from the star-studded event... Michael Jackson's hologram

The Billboard crown undoubtedly went to the late King of Pop. Members of the audience were seen wiping away tears as a hologram of Michael Jackson performed Slave to the Rhythm from his new album Xscape.

The incredible display opened with video-projected Michael sitting on a throne before launching into the track, dancing across the stage perfectly in sync with backing dancers.

Justin Timberlake wins big

Justin Timberlake accepted an impressive seven Billboard Awards via video link while away on tour. He appeared on screen with his band to accept the evening's big prize for Top Artist. "All the other finalists, Miley, Imagine Dragons, Bruno, Katy, I love you guys. It's not a competition, but if it is, I won!" he said.

Jennifer Lopez - Billboard icon

It was also a big night for Jennifer Lopez. The singer opened and closed the 2014 awards, and was also honoured with the prestigious Icon Award.

She was introduced to the stage by Ricky Martin and Izzy Azalea, as famous fans including Taylor Swift shared their memories of Jennifer via video. The superstar performed her hit First Love, before accepting the award, thanking friends, family and collaborators and giving a shout out to her young fans.

"All you little ones sitting on the living room floor, have faith, dream big, think big," she said. "And know that anything is possible, you never know where you might end up."

Jennifer Lopez was honoured with the prestigious Icon Award

Kendall Jenner's microphone mishapFaring less well at the Billboard Awards was Kendall Jenner. While attempting to introduce the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer, the 18-year-old came a cropper with the teleprompter and fluffed her lines. Embarrased and flustered, she told the crowd, "I'm the worst reader", and later tweeted about the moment, "Anndddd as if I wasn't nervous already!!!! #NeverLeavinMyContactsAtHomeAgain! #LOL #LessonLearned."

Robin Thicke's public pleas to PaulaRobin Thicke's quest to win back estranged wife Paula Patton continued. The singer paid tribute to his childhood sweetheart as he accepted the trophy for Best R&B song, and also gave a heartfelt performance of his new single, Get Her Back, which he wrote for Paula."

Most importantly, I'd like to thank my wife for her love and support, and for putting up with me all these years," Robin said as he collected his award.
