After their spectacular Florence nuptials, the new Mr and Mrs West have begun married life with a luxurious mini-break in Ireland. According to reports in the Irish press, Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West arrived in County Cork on Sunday by private jet.
They then were driven off by limousine to begin a five-day holiday at one of the country's most exclusive hotels. Kanye and his bride are understood to be staying at the five-star Castlemartyr Resort – a 17th century country manor which is nestled in the picturesque Cork countryside, 30 minutes east of Cork city by car. A spokesperson confirmed that the €2,750-a-night presidential suite has been booked for the next five nights, along with ten other rooms. The total cost of the stay is estimated at well over €50,000.
Located within 240 acres of grounds, Castlemartyr will give Kim and Kanye a break from media attention as they unwind. At their disposal is a ten-room treatment spa, a fitness studio and four restaurants. They can also take in the resort's 800-year-old castle ruins.
The pair are also said to be planning to spend some of their trip in Dublin, before they return to the States next week for the wedding of Kanye's stylist.
The newlyweds could very well have been inspired by Kim's mum Kris Jenner in their choice of honeymoon destination. Kris and Bruce Jenner took a trip to the Emerald Isle after they tied the knot in 1991. Kim and Kanye have reportedly left their daughter North safely in the hands of momager Kris – who has taken the little one back to Paris with the rest of the family while her daughter and son-in-law enjoy their first days alone as husband and wife.
