Days after announcing her split from husband Jamie Bell, Evan Rachel Wood has denied rumours of romance with actress Michelle Rodriguez.
On Friday Evan broke her self-imposed Twitter silence to set the record straight about reports that she and Michelle had had an affair based on a photo of them together at an event three weeks ago. "Looks like someone is already trying to start a rumor that I "hooked up" with Michelle Rodriguez at "an evening with women"," tweeted the openly bisexual actress. "I have never even said "hello" to Michelle Rodriguez."
Evan, who has a ten-month-old son with Billy Elliot actor Jamie, added that she found it suspicious the affair allegations had started at the time of her marriage break down and not when the event took place on 10 May. "I think its convenient someone chose to make up the story now and not that night," she posted.
The 26-year-old star went on to dispute claims that she was seen leaving the event with Michelle by uploading a video of herself exiting the venue alone, before expressing her dismay that her split from Jamie was being exploited.
"Complete lies made up to exploit a public separation," Evan returned to her Twitter break
Jamie and Evan announced the news of their split on Wednesday.
