Cheryl Cole's new boyfriend has opened up on their bilingual romance. Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini has revealed that he is teaching the star how to speak his native French, and in return she's been teaching him a few phrases.

"My English is better than her French," he told the Sun. "But I teach her the words. Mainly the bad words! She teaches me the Geordie." The couple have been dating for around a month, and on Saturday Jean-Bernard went along to support Cheryl as she performed her new single, Crazy Stupid Love, at the Britain's Got Talent final. "She is amazing," he said about the Can't Speak French singer. "It was good to see her performing. I was proud. Impressed? Yes – very, very impressed."

The handsome restaurateur is Cheryl's first serious romance since splitting from backing dancer Tre Holloway last summer. Jean-Bernard runs pop-up restaurant and celeb hangout Cosy Box in Cannes, and it is thought this is where the hot new couple first met. At the end of May, they made their first British public appearance together at the trendy Chiltern Firehouse in London.
