George Clooney's wedding to Amal Alamuddin looks set to be a star-studded affair. The handsome actor is most likely to choose long-time friendBrad Pittto be his best man, a family member has confirmed.
George's aunt Staria Clooney recently spoke about his upcoming marriage to Amal, and said she thinks the former bachelor will pick fellow A-lister Brad to be by his side on the big day.
"I would say he'd choose Brad Pitt for his best man," she told the Daily Mail. "They are good friends, I would think that's who he'd choose.
" That's not all Staria, a non-denominational minister, revealed about the wedding. She suggested that the ceremony will be held in Italy in September, and said George is planning a trip there with his parents to start preparations. "I did hear Cincinnati, since it's not far from Kentucky (where George's family live) – that's one of the places they were considering – but apparently Cincinnati didn't win, it's not going to be the place.
"I do know that Nick and Nina (George's parents) are planning a trip over to Italy in the next week or so to, I guess, scope out some stuff." Just last week, George attended a family reunion in Kentucky, but to the disappointment of his family his striking fiancée was unable to attend. The actor's cousin Ben Breslin told the newspaper: "When he came in the front door, I was looking around asking, 'Where is she?"Ben added: " He explained that she's a lawyer and apparently she's across the sea somewhere working on a case, off saving the world. It was a shame because I would have liked to have met her."
Asked if he was excited to welcome a Brit into the family, George's cousin laughed, "Not a problem – if she can put up with us, we can put up with her.
Nina says she's a lovely girl, and if she likes her, she's in." George popped the question to human rights lawyer Amal back in April after a whirlwind romance. Brad, of course, has been engaged to Angelina Jolie since 2012, with reports that they are also set to tie the knot this year.
