John Dann was holding a handwritten sign that read, "I’ve got the ring and I'm 64," while his girlfriend Claudia Rodgers held a message that said, "He won't marry me 'til he meets you."

Paul then invited the couple to join him on stage, and, in front of some 13,000 people, John sang part of the Beatles classic When I'm Sixty Four before popping the question to Claudia."And they booked us for the wedding," Paul joked after watching the sweet marriage proposal.

It was the musician's first show after he was forced to cancel a string of his Out There tour concerts.Paul called off the Japan leg of the tour plus a South Korea show, and later postponed a number of US dates after a viral infection left him in a Tokyo hospital. "It's great to be back," he told the crowd at the start of a three-hour set, that included nearly 40 tracks – a mix of solo singles,  tracks from his band Wings with Linda McCartney, and Beatles classics. He opened the show with Eight Days A Week and dedicated a song, My Valentine, to his wife Nancy Shevell.
