Speaking to Lucky magazine, Solange added: "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."

The simple quote maintains the silence that the Knowles family have kept up since the CCTV footage from the Standard Hotel in New York City was released. In the days that followed, the family released a statement which read: "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it."

It continued: "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. "In early June, Solange and her sister, Jay Z's wife, Beyoncé, made their first public appearance after footage of the altercation surfaced and were in high spirits as they headed out together for the Chime For Change one year anniversary event in New York.

Smiling and with their arms around each other's waists, the two ladies coordinated their clothing, both opting for plunging outfits for the charity party.

In the days following the release of the shocking footage of Solange and Jay Z, Beyoncé showed support for her sister with a series of flashback photos on her Instagram account. One of the pictures included a particularly tender snap which showed the siblings hugging on stage at this year's Coachella festival after Beyoncé made a surprise appearance at her sister's gig.
