Liam Hemsworth has broken his silence on his high-profile split from Miley Cyrus. Far from there being any animosity between the former couple, he has said they shared an "instantaneous and powerful connection" and will "always be best friends".
The Hunger Games actor, 24, apparently revealed all to a friend over dinner in Portofino, and couldn't stop gushing about his ex-fiancée.A source told Page Six, "Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other. "He also said they bought a lot of furniture, but he had to leave it behind when they broke up and he got his new place which was furnished. "It is thefirst time that Liam has been known to talk about the couple's split since it was announced in September 2013.
Miley, 21, meanwhile, has previously addressed the end of their four-year relationship. "I don't think I realised what 19 truly is, and I got engaged at 19, and I definitely wouldn’t change being engaged," she said late last year. "It was so fun to wear a fat rock for a few years, but now I just feel like I can actually be happy. I wait for those moments of silence, when I'm just at my house, by myself." The Wrecking Ball star added, "I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think, conquering that fear this year was actually bigger than any other transition I had, this entire year. "I don't ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can't be yourself."
