Selena Gomez celebrated her 22nd birthday with supermodel Cara Delevingne on Tuesday, and the duo were side-by-side once again at the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala in St Tropez on Wednesday evening. The pair were sizzling for the star-studded occasion, unlike the beach looks they'd adopted earlier in the week for fun watersports activities including jet skiing and parasailing.

Her good friend Cara, meanwhile, was sophisticated in a two-piece white suit with black accents. The 21-year-old went for a smokey eye and added a pop of colour with a deep burgundy lipstick. High-heeled ankle boots completed the edgy look.

Proceeds from the gala – also attended by the likes of Joan Collin, U2's frontman Bono and Daisy Lowe – will protect the planet's last remaining wild areas, including oceans, forests, wild lands and endangered species. "We are facing a tipping point of environmental crisis unprecedented in human history," said Leonardo.

"In our oceans we have already lost 25 per cent of the coral reefs and 90 per cent of the large fish, including sharks. "It's high time we acknowledged that our very survival depends on protecting the ecosystems that sustain life. The Gala in Saint-Tropez is a fundraiser to support organizations and initiatives dedicated to securing a sustainable future for our planet."
