Robert Pattinson on living with depression and anxiety: 'I like my peaks and troughs'

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has spoken frankly about his ongoing issues with depression and anxiety – revealing he's more than come to terms with his feelings.

"I kind of like my anxiety in a funny sort of way and I like my peaks and troughs," he reveals. "Luckily depression never lasts long with me. "The actor even jokingly added: "I would love to go into therapy but it makes me too anxious."

Robert Pattinson has said he "kind of likes" his anxiety, "in a funny sort of way" Robert made the comment to The Daily Telegraph .He also told the paper that he's only just come to terms with the stratospheric rise to fame that came from starring in the Twilight films.

"I had a bit of a struggle at first because my life really contracted and I couldn't do a lot of the stuff I used to be able to do," he said. "But once I got through that a year or two ago I just accepted my life is something else and now I can't really remember what it was like before. So it's much easier to deal with. "The 28-year-old star has clearly been open to discussing personal issues with journalists this month. In a separate interview, with Esquire magazine, he responded to questions about his break-up with Kristen Stewart, telling an interviewer: "S**t happens."

He added: "The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can't predict."
