One Direction win 10 prizes at Teen Choice Awards, plus full winners list

One Direction were big winners at the Teen Choice Awards 2014 on Sunday night as they scooped 10 prizes. Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik were triumphant as they were acknowledged for gongs including Choice Break Up Song with Story of My Life, Choice Love Song with You & I, Choice Summer Tour, Choice Male Hottie, Choice Social Media King and Choice Twit. Unfortunately for the audience at the ceremony in Los Angeles, they could not be there and instead thanked fans via video message for beating out rivals for titles such as Choice Music Group, Choice Single Group, Choice Smile (Harry Styles) and Choice Fanatic Fans.

Other British stars at the annual event included Cher Lloyd who performed with X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato, as well as TV presenter Cat Deeley and boyband Rixton. Ed Sheeran was named Choice Male Artist and Choice Single Male Artist for his track Sing, Scot Calvin Harris got the prize for Choice Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Artist, while 5 Seconds of Summer got the award for Choice Summer Music Star: Group. The band are rumoured to have financial backing from One Direction, who reportedly have a 50 per cent stake in the band’s profits and each member apparently owns a 10 per cent share in the business deal.5 Seconds of Summer are supporting the One Direction boys on their Where We Are Tour at the moment meaning they missed out on some standout moments, including Jennifer Lopez reuniting with her Maid In Manhattan son Tyler Posey. Kim Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were on the blue carpet to scoop the coveted surfboard for their show Keeping Up With the Kardashians as it was declared Choice Reality Show.
