Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are selling their country house in Bedford, New York. The property, which is where Catherine lived during the pair's temporary separation last year, has been listed on real estate database Zillow's website. Catherine and Michael, who have now reconciled and are based in New York City, are said to be hoping to fetch nearly £5million.

Photos from the site show the colonial 6,600 square metre house featuring a centre hall, spiral staircase, six bedrooms, six bathrooms and wrap-around balconies that look out over the farm where Catherine, 44, used to ride her horses. Other amenities include gardens, a greenhouse, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and a state-of-the art gym. Catherine and Michael bought the property in 2010 for £3million but have already put it on the market.

The news comes shortly after the Side Effects actress spoke how she felt when she found out that her husband of 14 years had cancer. "I was a mess. I'll be quite frank. I was a mess," Catherine told 3,000 doctors at the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies 5th World Congress opening ceremony in July. "When I'm married to a man who has such a conviction for life… he fights to make the wrongs right. For the first time, he was fighting for his life," she said.

Michael, 69, went on to thank doctors who saved his life and explained that he was misdiagnosed three times before eventually having a walnut-sized tumour removed from the back of his tongue in 2010. Catherine and Michael, who went on a trial separation for around six months, are parents to daughter Carys, 11, and son, Dylan, 14.
