Ben Affleck joined the ranks of Hollywood stars taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge this week – and it quickly became a family affair.
With his wife Jennifer Garner waiting in the wings with a bucket of freezing cold water, the Gone Girl actor spoke to camera before to nominate four "folks who I know from first-hand experience look good in a wet T-shirt."
"So the first one's Jimmy Kimmel, second one’s Neil Patrick Harris, third one's Matt Damon and the fourth is the lady with the bucket," he said.No sooner had he finished his sentence, than Jennifer had emptied the bucket of ice cold water over her husband's head. Ben responded by grabbing his wife and jumping into the swimming pool with her, to the delight of their children, who can be heard squealing in delight off-camera.
The viral Ice Bucket Challenge has taken the internet by storm with big names including Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber all taking part to help raise money and awareness for the research and treatment of motor neurone disease.
The ALS Association has raised $15.6million since 29 July, according to figures released on Monday – nearly nine times the amount it had raised during the same time period last year.
