David Beckham has joined the ranks of celebrities who have taken part in the ALS Ice Bucket challenge.
© Photo: FacebookThe former footballer turned underwear model introduced the video by saying: "Hi, I'm David Beckham and I'm accepting Ryan [Seacrest's] ALS Ice Bucket challenge."
He later nominates sports stars Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, and Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio.
The ice bucket challenge has taken social media by storm and some of the biggest celebrities have taken part, including Bill Gates and Justin Bieber.

The challenge aims to raise as much money as possible for the research and treatment of motor neurone disease and involves filling a bucket with ice cold water, and then pouring it over yourself, all while being videoed as hilarious proof for friends and social media followers. The drenched participant must then nominate three more people to experience the gruelling ice shower.

On Monday Oscar winner Ben Affleck took the challenge and produced an adorable video as it quickly became a family affair. With his wife Jennifer Garner waiting in the wings with a bucket of freezing cold water, the Gone Girl actor spoke to camera before to nominate four friends including Jennifer, and no sooner had he finished his sentence, than Jennifer had emptied the bucket of ice cold water over her husband's head. Ben responded by grabbing his wife and jumping into the swimming pool with her, to the delight of their children, who can be heard squealing in delight off-camera.
