Kirsty Gallacher has reportedly split from her husband Paul Sampson. The sports news presenter, 38, and the former England rugby ace, 37, decided to go their separate ways after four years of marriage. The couple were together for ten years before their wedding and are parents to Oscar, seven, and four-year-old Jude.

"Kirsty and Sammo have been on the rocks for about a year but only decided to split a few months ago," a source told The Sun. "They tried to stay together for the sake of the kids but in the end their lives were just becoming miserable. Kirsty is a wonderful mother to the boys and although she is heartbroken, she is throwing her energy into them." A spokesperson for Kirsty also confirmed to the newspaper that the break-up was amicable and that no one else was involved. While Kirsty and her boys have remained in their Surrey home, Paul is said to have recently moved out.

Friends close to the couple reportedly believed that the pair first started showing cracks in their relationship when Paul, whose former clubs include Wasps and Worcester Warriors, was forced to retire from the game in 2011 due to injury. The Edinburgh-born beauty, meanwhile, has made no acknowledgment of her split online and looked to be enjoying her holiday in France with her sons. "Beautiful view to wake up to, picture doesn't even do it justice.....," Kirsty captioned a picturesque photo of a pool with rolling hills in the background. Kirsty and Paul met a charity event in 1999 but didn't marry until 2010 in the quaint Spanish town of Arcos de la Frontera.
