Gently swaying to the music in an intimate embrace, Beyoncé Knowles and her husband Jay-Z looked blissfully happy as they enjoyed a private moment together at the Made in America festival on Sunday night. The couple, who have been the subject of split rumours recently, dispelled any reports of marital strife with their affectionate display.
Jay, 44, stood behind his wife with his arms wrapped around her toned stomach, occasionally leaning in to whisper in her ear. Beyoncé, showing off a new cropped hair style, smiled broadly as she leaned against her rapper husband as they watched the music from a backstage area.Beyoncé, 32, and Jay recently put their romance under the spotlight on their sold-out On The Run tour. After months of being dogged by reports of marital discord, they put on a united front both on stage and off.
Then last month, the superstar couple made a very sweet appearance with their daughter Blue Ivy at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, where Jay presented Beyoncé with the Video Vanguard Awards.The songstress has no doubt been hurt by recent claims made by her father Mathew Knowles, who suggested that his daughter and her husband deliberately circulated divorce rumours to boost ticket sales.
"I know, from experience, because we've done this, there's a tour going on," Mathew – Beyoncé's former manager – told The Roula and Ryan Radio Show. "So you have to sometime ignite that tour – it's called the Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of the time. "Asked specifically about daughter Solange's infamous bust-up with Jay, he added, "All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everybody's talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange's album sales went up 200 per cent."
