It's been a few weeks now since the nation woke up to reports that TOWIE star James Argent had gone missing. Now, the 26-year-old has opened up about the "embarrassing" incident.

During his appearance on Celebrity Juice, Arg explained: "Basically, I went to the airport and I missed the flight, and so I checked into a hotel nearby and my phone ran out of battery.

James 'Arg' Argent has spoken about the 'embarrassing' missing persons incident

"So I basically just chilled in the hotel with no battery. Then I woke up and asked the cleaner for a charger and she knocked on the door and said,  'You're missing!' "And I said, 'What do you mean I'm missing?', and she said, 'It's all over the news'.

So I went and put my phone on charge and went on Twitter and all I saw was  #PrayForArg.

"I was thinking, why are they praying for me? And then I phoned my mum and that was it. It was a bit embarrassing."

Team captain Holly Willoughby then said to the reality star, "It's nice to know people care about you", to which he replied, "It was a bit embarrassing, but yeah, it's nice to know people care about me. "Arg was reported to be missing on 30 August, with fans and friends so worried that #PrayForArg was trending on social media. He later let his followers know that there was no cause for concern.

"Hi I'm so sorry to have worried everyone," he tweeted. "I'm fine and safe, but again can't apologise enough x."
