Ashley Roberts was born in 1981 in Arizona, where she started dancing when she was just three and singing when she was eight.Her father, who was a drummer, and mother, a pilates instructor, both inspired her to pursue a career in entertainment from a young age.After high school the blonde beauty packed her bags and moved to California to try her luck, and only six months later - after starring in several adverts and music videos - Ashley was cast for the girl group The Pussycat Dolls.Along with band members Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt, she went on to sell 54million records, including the popular hits When I Grow Up, I Hate This Part and Jai Ho.After several years of touring and performing, the group dissolved in 2010. Ashley announced her departure on social media, saying: "Yes, I have left the Pussycat Dolls. I love you all sooo much!!! I am so grateful to have the love and support of all of you. It was an amazing ride and I learned so much! You all mean the world to me and I'm excited to take you all on a new adventure.
