Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's surprise wedding was one of the most talked-about events this summer – but it seems her friend Will.i.am was completely unaware she had tied the knot. "She got married already? Oh, I didn't even know that! " the hip hop star told the Mail at the Lexus NV Launch in Paris on Wednesday. "That's cool! I'm happy for her. That's dope."
© Photo: Getty ImagesFans might be surprised to learn that Will.i.am and Cheryl haven't been in touch; the pair have been friends since collaborating on Heartbreaker in 2008, and he helped produce and featured on her first and second solo albums.Will was also be her side at the judges' houses during her time on The X Factor, and he even worked as her manager until they parted ways last October.

"I'm so happy that Rita is the new female coach on The Voice UK and that she was open minded to be on the panel," he said. "She's going to be a great addition.
