There was no mistaking their just-wed glow as the new Mr and Mrs Clooney made their first appearance since tying the knot.
The first post-wedding sighting of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin on Sunday, the day after their sunset ceremony, caused a frenzy amongst locals and tourists alike.
The newlyweds, who married at the seven-star Aman Canal Grande in Venice, were full of joy as they were seen leaving their hotel by taxi boat.
Holding his stunning new wife in a tender embrace, George, 53, couldn't have looked happier as he waved to crowds, proudly showing off his new wedding band.

All eyes were on his lawyer love, however, as she stole the show in a summery white and red floral frock that showed off her enviable legs. The 36-year-old, who is of Lebanese origin, left her tumbling hair loose over her shoulders and accessorised with simple, oversized sunglasses from Heidi London at Wolf & Badger. Her new piece of jewellery – her platinum wedding band – was clearly on display.

The couple are said to be carrying on their celebrations with a lavish lunch on Sunday, followed by a civil service ceremony on Monday. George and Amal exchanged vows in front of a star-studded wedding guest list, which included the likes of Cindy Crawford, Matt Damon, Anna Wintour and Emily Blunt. The actor's close friend Walter Veltroni, the former mayor of Rome, officiated the ceremony. "George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today (Sept. 27) in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy," the groom's spokesperson confirmed to HELLO! Online shortly after the nuptials.
