Nicole Scherzinger is set to make her West End debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical Cats.
The American star will play Grizabella 'the glamour cat' in the show, which is returning to London for a 12 week run on 6 December.
"I am really thrilled to be making my West End debut in such an iconic show," Nicole, 36, said. "I grew up listening to Andrew's extraordinary music and was lucky enough a couple of years ago to record Cats' beautiful song Memory.
"Andrew's score is breathtaking and I am truly honoured to have been asked to take part in what I know will be a very special time in my career. I can't wait to begin rehearsals."
Nicole was previously a member of the Pussycat Dolls, before moving on to a solo career and appearing as a judge on The X Factor. She is set to release her second album, Big Fat Lie, on 20 October.
Cats is based on TS Elliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, and first opened in 1981 at the New London Theatre, where it played there for 21 record-breaking years, putting on just under 9,000 performance.It opened in Broadway on 1983 where it ran for 18 years, and became the recipient of seven Tony awards.
