Celebs including Cheryl and McBusted turn out for the 2014 Pride of Britain Awards

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Simon Cowell, and McBusted were just some of the celebrities that braved London's rain on Monday night for the 2014 Pride of Britain Awards.

Wearing a stunning purple gown, Cheryl showed off her large rose tattoo as the gown had a daring cut-out back.

Joining The X Factor judge on the red carpet wasSimon Cowell and his partner, Lauren Silverman, who looked gorgeous in a black dress with gold statement sleeves and a matching clutch.

TV presenters Carol Vorderman, Susanna Reid, and Sarah-Jane Crawford all also walked the red carpet, to attend the annual event, which was founded in 1999 and honours the UK's unsung heroes.

Prince Harry is also expected to attend, to present the 103 members of the British Armed Forces Team woho competed at this year's Invictus Games with a Special Recognition award. Tweeting beforehand, Susanna told her followers: "Going to@PrideOfBritain Awards tonight with @carolvorders in charge - extraordinary tales of human courage, heroism & love".

Countryfile presenter Ben Fogle added: "Looking forward to the @PrideOfBritain awards tonight. Inevitably one of the most moving and uplifting evenings of the year #PrideOfBritain" 

Also in attendance were Great British Bake Off judge's Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, model Abbey Clancy, and Myleene Klass.
