Irish singer Una Healy is one fifth of British girlband The Saturdays, but she once had hopes of becoming a champion swimmer, becoming an All-Ireland champion swimmer by the age of 9.

At the age of 13 she gave it up after teaching herself to play the guitar and write music, but didn't pursue her dream until the age of 23. She quit her job and began to tour Ireland, before moving to London to get her big break.

When in London she auditioned for a new girl group, and soon found herself joining Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, and Vanessa White as a member of The Saturdays.

The Saturdays have become one of Britain's most popular bands, with numerous top ten singles and albums.

In 2009 the band starred in the BBC TV show Myths, in a modern version of The Odyssey. The band were a singing group called The Syrens with Una taking the lead role as Peisone.

By 2013, the band had decided to crack America and starred in a hit E! documentary called Chasing The Saturdays, but Una soon decided to return to Ireland, where she will next be seen as a judge on The Voice Ireland. As well as singing and TV, Una has also become the face of Reebok's Women's Fitness Collection.

She is married to rugby player Ben Foden and the pair have a two-year-old daughter named Aoife.
