Kendall and Kylie Jenner have made it onto Time magazine's 25 Most Influential Teens Of 2014 list. The younger half-sisters of Kim Kardashian joined some very impressive names including Malala Yousafzai, the youngest-ever recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, and US first daughters Malia and Sasha Obama. Actors Chloë Grace Moretz and Jaden Smith were also crowned as some of this year's most influential teenagers.

Kendall, 18, and Kylie, 17, are most famed for their reality TV appearances

Apart from winning fame for their regular appearances on hit reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall and Kylie earned their place on the list for – according to the magazine – hosting red-carpet events, releasing clothing and nail polish lines and publishing a young-adult novel earlier this summer. Kendall, 18, was given special mention for her grounded modelling career, which has seen the raven-haired beauty walk the runway for designers such as Chanel, Balmain and Marc Jacobs. Seventeen-year-old Kylie, meanwhile, has shown entrepreneurial skills and launched her own hair extension line.

Malala Yousafzai, 17, has been campaigning for women's rights for the past two years

A teenager of the same age, Malala has worked tirelessly for the past two years to campaign for girls' education. The Pakistani youth activist, who survived being shot in the head by Taliban gunmen, has used her organisation the Malala Fund to champion various causes including the return of Nigerian girls kidnapped by Boko Haram. Also joining the list, Barack Obama's daughters Malia, 16, and Sasha, 13, were commended for their growing popularity, particularly after their father's election, with the youngest sibling regarded as a style icon.

Representing the world of Hollywood, teen celebrities Chloë and Jaden landed a spot on the list for their impressive film careers. Kick-Ass star Chloë, 17, has been making a name for herself with a roster of movies including the lead role in Carrie and If I Stay.

While Jaden, 16, rose to fame as Will Smith's eldest child, the actor has also been labelled as the "Confucius for the Internet age". According to the magazine Jaden – who has 5.37million Twitter followers – may hold his real legacy in his social media musings, "which are equal parts absurdist ('Anything You See In Any Magazine Ever Is Fake') and insightful ('Once You Witness A Cycle Enough Times You Step Out Of It')." Other famous names on the list included singer Lorde, 17, athlete Mo'ne Davis, 13, and 14-year-old transgender activist Jazz Jennings.
