There are a number of remarkable youngsters named on the prestigious list, including Malala Yousafzai, who just became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in honour of her activism for women's education.

Sasha and Malia Obama, the daughters of President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, also feature. Kylie and Kendall's inclusion on the list has divided opinion, with some disagreeing with Time's decision.

But others have come out in support of the siblings, arguing that, for better or worse, their spot is deserved. "They are influential to teens," Wendy Williams said on her talk show on Tuesday. "Either teen girls want to look like them… or dress like them." She added, "They follow them on Instagram. They should be in this list, that's all!"
