Tamara Ecclestone takes baby Sophia to celebrate granddad Bernie's 84th

October 29, 2014

It may have been Bernie Ecclestone's birthday but his beautiful granddaughter Sophia proved the highly anticipated guest of honour. The cute seven-month-old was brought to the swanky London party by her parents Tamara Ecclestone and Jay Rutland, who looked more than thrilled to show off their little pride and joy. Wrapped up in a fluffy fur coat and white frock, Sophia gave a winning smile as she prepared to head out for the party with her doting mum.

"On way to grandad's birthday dinner," Tamara, 30, captioned an Instagram shot of the pair in their Kensington home. The Formula 1 heiress looked sleek in a column, black dress that featured a high neckline, and completed her sharp look with her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail. Her property developer husband Jay proved her perfect accessory, protectively putting a hand on Tamara's back as they arrived at Scott's restaurant in Mayfair together. Baby Sophia peeped out from her hood to take in the waiting throngs of paparazzi.

Once inside the celebrity eatery, Tamara kept fans updated on the family night out as she shared another sweet photo of herself, Sophia and the 84-year-old birthday celebrant. "The glasses thief strikes again," Tamara wrote alongside the photo of her cheeky little daughter. The model shared another snap of Bernie about to cut into her marvellous cake, which was made in the shape of a Lots Road auction panel.

Tamara, who regularly posts photos of baby Sophia on Instagram, most recently shared her tot's swimming experience online. The proud mum was pictured holding Sophia on her back and attempting to teach her how to "kick kick kick" as the caption explained. Speaking previously about her new role of motherhood, Tamara told HELLO! magazine: "I've never felt like this before. I feel like a completely different person to the girl I used to be and I'm so much happier. I've never been this happy in my life." "People think I have everyone doing everything for me," added Tamara. "I don't. We don't have a cook, I cook. We don't have a nanny, we have me. I do absolutely everything with Sophia."
