Harry Styles claims he didn't send Taylor Swift 1989 roses

November 22, 2014

Harry Styles has denied rumours that he sent Taylor Swift 1989 roses to celebrate her new album, 1989. Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show, the One Direction star said he knew nothing of the roses his ex-girlfriend received despite being given the credit for the extravagant gift.

"Here's the latest rumour," Ellen told Harry. "That  you gave Taylor Swift 1989 roses because of her 1989 album going well, do you know anything about that?

""I don't," replied Harry. "I mean I know about the rumour,  I don't know anything about the roses. It might have been someone else and I get the credit."

Harry told Ellen he knew nothing about the roses Taylor receieved

During their time on the show, Zayn said he had now fully recovered from the stomach flu that had delayed his trip to the US.

"How're you feeling?" Ellen asked Zayn. "I know you missed release day because you had some kind of stomach flu or something, how're you feeling."

"I'm feeling a lot better," said Zayn.  "I'm just happy to be back with the lads."

The band were reunited with Zayn after his illness

Earlier in the week the Bradford-born star spoke out against claims that the delay was due to drug abuse.

"I'm really angry and upset by what was said," 21-year-old Zayn told the Sun after TV show host Matt Lauer suggested his illness was related to drugs.  "I was really ill at the weekend, that's why I couldn't fly to America."

The band were forced to soldier on with their promo appearance in Florida where Liam Payne told fans that Zayn needed to stay at home and rest.
