Solange Knowles has given fans a glimpse into her blissful honeymoon with her new husband Alan Ferguson. The couple tied the knot exactly two weeks ago in New Orleans in front of family and friends, including the bride's famous older sister Beyoncé Knowles.Reaching out to her fans on Instagram, Solange posted a series of artistic photos of herself, her partner and their gorgeous surroundings of Brazil. After their high-profile wedding that attracted much public attention, Solange and Alan looked to be completely at ease as they soaked up the next chapter of their life.

Solange Knowles enjoys a moment of calm out in the waves

The singer, 28, shared a carefree photo of herself standing in the sea, with her hands outstretched and a huge smile on her face. Solange's expression spoke volumes as she left the image uncaptioned. The new Mrs Ferguson struck another pose for the cameras, in which she was pictured standing in the middle of a dirt road, wearing a maroon bathing suit and white T-shirt. She added a touch of trendiness to her look with a wide-brimmed hat and a canvas bag slung over her shoulder.

Solange Knowles has been honeymooning in Brazil with her hew husband

Spotting another opportunity for an artsy shot, Solange pointed her camera upwards and took a photo of her new husband leaning out of a balcony. The Texas-born star captioned the Instagram snap with a simple green heart emoticon, reflecting the lush flora in the forefront of the picture. Solange and Alan, 51, spent their post-wedding days in Bahia, Brazil – a state on the eastern side of the South American country famed for its white, sandy beaches and idyllic coastline.

Solange Knowles married Alan Ferguson two weeks ago in New Orleans

The pair are thought to have honeymooned in boutique hotel Corumbau, which means "a distant place" in the language of the Pataxó tribe. The secluded venue is set amid a farm and a grove of palm trees, and flanked by over a kilometre of desert beach. Solange also gave a special mention to another village, Trancoso, as she captioned a photo of colourful bungalows: "Thank you Trancoso for being the most magical lil place to "honey our moon".... Brazil could not have been kinder to us and our love......".Solange and Alan married on Sunday 16 November at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans, with the bride stunning in a simple and classic floor-length white gown with an attached cape.
