Kit Harington has confirmed he is a single man. The handsome Game of Thrones star recently opened up about his relationship status - and confessed that he finds maintaining a romance a bit of a challenge. "Relationships as an actor are incredibly difficult," the 27-year-old said. "With someone who's not an actor because they never get to see you; and with someone who is an actor because you're ships in the night a lot of the time."
© Photo: Getty ImagesThe British actor, who stars as Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy drama, said he believes he would have to sacrifice either his career or a relationship – unless his partner was willing to follow him wherever he goes. "I mean, ideally, if you keep acting in the film world, you're a travelling salesman," Kit added. "And your options are: sacrifice a lot of your career, to make sure it's not unfair on the other person, or find someone who is willing to be your travelling circus. "That's where I stand, and I'm trying to address it at the moment." Game of Thrones was Kit's first major on-screen role, and it has catapulted him to worldwide fame. It's been both a blessing and a "curse".
"Game of Thrones is my life, it's my day job, I love it," the actor said in an interview for the January issue of British GQ. "But honestly, if there is a curse of Thrones, it's a lifetime of having to talk about it." Kit also revealed that he is unable to alter his appearance because of filming for the show. "I'm more recognisable in public than much better-known actors," he said. "So many people watch, and I go around looking like my character."
