Slumdog Millionaire co-stars Freida Pinto and Dev Patel have ended their romance. The couple, who met on the set of the Oscar-winning film in 2008, were together for almost six years before deciding to call time on their relationship. "Dev and Freida have broken up," a source told US Weekly. "They have been done for a while." Another insider confirmed that the 30-year-old actress is getting back on the dating scene, adding, "Freida is single and happy. Friends are setting her up."

British star Dev, 24, was noticeably absent from Freida's birthday celebrations back in October as she headed out with a group of friends in LA.
News of the couple's split will still come as a shock to fans, however – just last year they told US Weekly that they didn't celebrate Valentine's Day because "every day should be a celebration of love".
Dev even described Freida as his soul mate before they started dating.

"We're soul mates because we're both in this surreal situation," he told Contact Music back in 2008. "She is very beautiful…. I haven't got a girlfriend, but Freida, my co-star, is gorgeous."
Years later, Freida agreed. "I guess he was right in a way; we are soul mates," she said.
