Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she plans to settle down in London. The 28-year-old Mean Girls actress, who recently appeared in Speed-the-Plow at the Playhouse Theatre in the West End told The Observer's The New Review that she wants the make the English capital her permanent home as living there has helped "grow up."
Lindsay has become a regular at London events
"I can go for a run here on my own," said Lindsay of her London life. "I do every morning, early. I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else. In LA I didn’t know what to do, apart from go out every night."
Lindsay, who rose to fame at the age of 11 when she starred in The Parent Trap, added that she enjoys being away from LA, where her troubled private life was often scrutinised in the press.
"You turn on the news in LA and it is all gossip about people. All the stuff that is going on in the world right now and this gossip is the news?" she said. "I love the BBC. I haven't heard myself mentioned on TV since I have been here. That has been really weird for me, and great."

The New York-born star added that she hasn't been keeping up that much with news from The States, saying: "I don't even know who got married and who got pregnant."
Lindsay has previously voiced her hope to change the perception people had of her during her more wild years.
When asked how long she thought that would take Lindsay replied frankly, "However long it does take. I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to work for it."
